I got maybe 5 days of use from my Caravan Haven Sport shelter (purchased from tractor supply) before it failed in a very light wind gust. Setup is terrible, and usually puts a lot of stress on critical components. This was even more apparent during the repair process.
I decided to order replacement parts, which arrived today. I started to disassemble the unit and this is when I really noticed just how alarmingly "plastic" it is. Every hinge mechanism is either plastic, or a small bit of pot metal with a plastic bushing.
Bushing are cracked and broken everywhere. The poles are flimsy and fragile. I broke another pole in the process of removing the already broken one and replacing it.
The unit itself was $99.99 at tractor supply. Replacement poles are over $60 each after shipping.
I had purchased a 10x10 unit from Menards of another brand years ago and it is better in every way than this Caravan Haven Sport. Easier to set up, sturdier, lighter- you name it.
I would never purchase a Caravan product again, it's apparent that they design for failure then price-gouge for replacement parts.
if you do buy this, consider it disposable and not something you repair and continue using after it inevitably fails.
